Ski Dubai
Only in Dubai can you go from 40 degrees to -4 degrees Celsius. At Ski Dubai’s Snow Park you can enjoy all the magic and fun of building your own snowman or just having some fun in the snow with your friends. In addition to skiing, the 4,500 metre square Snow Park offers sledding and tobogganing. For the brave ones in the group, you can get to experience some adrenaline by jumping a 10 feet ramp or if you prefer a more relaxed approach, you can get an aerial view of Ski Dubai from the state-of-the-art chairlift. There’s also an alpine inspired restaurant on site just in case you get hungry between activities and you want to enjoy a hot chocolate and some fondue.
Voted the 5th best waterpark in the world, it is the largest of all the waterparks in Dubai and is a favourite location for travellers as it also has access to the beach and ocean. It’s home to some iconic record-breaking rides and attractions. You can dive into old favourites like the Leap of Faith, a 27.5-metre plunge that carries you through a clear tube surrounded by sharks and rays or try some of the many adrenaline-pumping activities such as ziplining across the park. This enormous theme park also features marine activities, private beaches and a range of restaurants to enjoy a meal in the sun with friends.
Ferrari World
Ferrari World is an amazing indoor theme park in Abu Dhabi. It is the world’s first Ferrari-branded theme park offering more than 17 Ferrari-inspired rides and attractions. If you’re an adrenaline junkie or a petrol head, make sure not to miss Formula Rossa and Flying Aces which claim to be two of the most exhilarating experiences available. Consider a ‘skip-the-line’ pass to get the most out of your day. As you’re walking around, there are an array of shops and restaurants on offer to keep you busy or to spend your time in between rides. Just make sure you don’t eat too much before getting on a rollercoaster!
Hatta Village
Hatta Village is a 90 minute drive from Al Seef. It’s one of those attractions that is a must if you are into cultural experiences. In addition to witnessing the beautiful landscape, you will be able to observe the everyday life of the local population through a historical lens. Most of it is laid out the same way as the original settlements, including the two watchtowers, a fort and mosque. You can step inside the local ruler’s house, known as ‘Bait Al Wali’ and also learn about their traditions. People who love the outdoors can also part in activities like hiking, kayaking and even ziplining.
